"It’s a long way to Tipperary" – framed ceramic wall art

A handmade ceramic tile impressed with a modern geometric pattern, adorned with a simple line drawing of a road winding off into the distance with a bright yellow glossy moon or stylised compass at the sky.

Impressed with the text “It’s a long way to Tipperary “. A popular as a marching song among soldiers in the First World War and is remembered as a song of that war. It was recorded in 1914 by Irish tenor John McCormack. Welcoming signs in the referenced county of Tipperary, Ireland, humorously declare, “You’ve come a long way” in reference to the song.

The ceramic tile is textured with wallpaper ands patterns are formed from flat pieces of clay which is then framed in a white wooden frame without glass.

Sarah loves to use a line or quote that strikes a happy chord in ones memory; the phrases she has chosen for the ‘Journeys’ range are those we’d hear throughout Ireland and some farther afield…all about our travels through life.

Each piece of Irish pottery is carefully wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap, corrugated card and boxed to ensure its safe journey to you.
