‘Aquamarine Surge’ is a multi-layered original seascape painting inspired by the expansive sea surrounding the Doohoma Peninsula, Geesala Co Mayo. The peninsula is almost an island, being connected to the mainland of Erris only by a narrow isthmus at Geesala.

While Brendas work is very much inspired by the beautiful landscape and miles of sandy beaches along the coast of Erris, this painting is deliberately not specific to any time or place so that the viewer can build their own personal connection with the piece.
