Bernie Garvey O'Mara has a B.A in Art and Design. GMIT, Castlebar Co Mayo.  She has exhibited at local and national level.

She received a residency award from the Mayo County Council,  Tyrone Gutherie Centre, Annaghmakerrig.   Her work is part of the Mayo County Councils Collection and Library Collection.

She has held residency at the Burren College of Art and Tyrone Gutherie Centre.
